As its name impies, it speeds the drying time of oil colors. Add to add to an oil painting medium in drops as opposed to adding directly to oil paint. Cobalt Drier is an extremely strong additive for oil paints and should be used sparingly. Test medium before applying it to an oil painting. Over use may cause cracking of paint film when drying.
